St. Dominic Priory in Denver, Colorado, partnered with Scottish Stained Glass to bring artistic and spiritual depth to their newly constructed building. Father Louis and David approached us with a vision for enhancing the twelve plain-glass windows surrounding their downtown sanctuary. They hoped to maintain the flow of natural light while also increasing privacy and creating a meaningful visual narrative centered on the life of St. Dominic, their patron saint. Our design team conducted extensive research into his life, teachings, and most defining moments, selecting key scenes to portray throughout the chapel. The result is a cohesive series of twelve stained glass windows—each one a “story within a story”—that honors St. Dominic’s devotion, mission, and enduring legacy.

The building was thoughtfully designed with stained glass in mind. Each window included a double-pane pocket intentionally built to accommodate future stained glass installations—a forward-thinking architectural decision that made the entire process remarkably seamless. When it came time to install the artwork, our panels fit perfectly into the preengineered frames, allowing the stained glass to integrate effortlessly with the modern structure. This project stands as a valuable example for churches and religious institutions planning new construction: designing with stained glass in mind from the beginning ensures that beauty, function, and long-term vision can come together with ease when the time is right.
