Most Popular Houston Stained Glass Styles
Prairie Style, as popularized by the famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Its defining characteristics include natural earthy colors and small geometric designs incorporating chevrons, circles or small patterns of squares.
Mackintosh Style
As inspired by the Scottish architect and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh. If you are not familiar with Mr. Mackintosh, he was a water-colorist who specialized in florals. This style of stained glass has a strong Art Nouveau flavor, lovely colors, and frequently incorporates floral designs.
Celtic Style
Originating in our native Scotland, is filled with intriguing Celtic knots and interlacing patterns. Traditional Celtic art is famous not just for its ornate spirals and patterns but for its complex symbolism. The intertwined lines and knots symbolized the ancient Celts’ beliefs about eternal life, heaven and earth.
Floral Style
(Including our signature “Aspen” collection) which could have your favorite flower, or even something like a grape vine with bunches of colored grapes (perfect for that wine cellar door!).
Traditional or Contemporary Style
Describes the great majority of the glass we build, which is uncolored, with beveling of the glass and various textures. These styles can add the perfect tough of stained glass elegance to any Houston home. They also provide the just the right amount of privacy you might be needing at your front door sidelights, bedroom or bathroom windows.
