Featured Church Stained Glass Project: St. Edward’s Church
We’re excited to announce the completion of our recent church stained glass project at St. Edward’s Church. This Pennsylvania church was looking to create a memorial stained glass window in order to honor one of their recently passed pastors. They decided to replace an existing large window that looked over the main street intersection so that they could also conceal the street view during service. The church contacted many stained glass studies throughout the nation for this project about 2 years ago. We normally do in-person consultations, but had to resort to video chatting due to the pandemic.
The Church Stained Glass Construction Process for St. Edward’s Church
After they decided to go with our studio, we sent multiple design revisions electronically of the tree of life. During the design finalization process, Father Rick mentioned that he’d love to do another stained glass window in the future for the other side of the church showcasing Jesus on the Sea of Galilee, his favorite teaching from the Bible. Our painted glass artist overheard this and decided to draw up a few designs. When we presented the new design, the Father and church fell in love and decided to go with this one. In order to make the design three-dimensional, our artist accomplished this through painting and shading in the water. She also chose to depict calm seas with variety of different people in order to show the success of reaching the other side of the storm.
